War: what to do from minute 0
If the U.S. enters a major war, what reaches your home is mostly disruption: cyberattacks on power, water and banks; shortages; panic at stores and gas stations; maybe mobilization. In the worst case, direct attacks on military targets. This plan tells you what to do and in what order, from minute 0 through the following weeks. The nuclear scenario has its own chapter; here it's only linked.
The essentials · if you only have a minute
- Minute 0 is for doing, not thinking. Kits, documents and triggers are prepared beforehand.
- Confirm with two official sources before you move. Social media doesn't count.
- If the threat is from the air, missiles or nuclear, nobody goes out: interior room, at least 24 hours.
- In the first 2 hours, your whole city wants the same things: cash, gas, pharmacy and water, in that order.
- If you leave, go in the first 6 hours or wait until the first wave passes. Never without a confirmed destination.
