Minute 10 to 90: the race (team A)
- Cash: the daily maximum on each card, at 2 or 3 different ATMs. Those at supermarkets and small banks empty later than those on major roads. Ask for 1s, 5s and 20s: with no change, a 100 buys the same as a 20.
- Gas: fill the cars (team B brings the second one later, if it's safe). Pay at the pump; don't go into the store. Avoid stations right next to highways: that's where lines form first. Don't keep gas cans inside an apartment.
- Pharmacy: the household's prescriptions. Also: pain relievers, anti-diarrheal, antihistamine, electrolytes, antacids, thermometer, gauze, tape, antiseptic.
- Store only if it's on the way and the line is short: water, batteries, no-cook food, pet food, unscented bleach. If you already have 14 days at home, skip it: a store in panic is a risk, not a supply.
- Come back by the secondary route decided in advance. Check in by text (SMS), not a call: texts get through when the network is jammed.
